Sven Van Holt
Sven
Van Holt was born on December 1972 in
the then socialist GDR. While growing up he developed
a taste for electronic music. In 1988, he started
off with avidly listening to the first electro-radio
program titled ‘maxi-Stunde’, which was
broadcasted on the Youth Radio DT 64, every Sunday.
As a young teenager, he would record the songs and
play them at parties along with his friends.
In 1989 after the unification of
Germany, Sven had an opportunity
to buy his first tapes and enjoy listening to groups
like Enigma, New Order, Simple Minds, and Prodigy,
among others. He began to do small gigs in his school.
He was exploring everything from dance to acid during
those early days. When the market was hit with CDs
during the nineties, his passion got a boost. CDs
were freely available in Germany and he could listen
to the latest from around the world.
He later joined a disco called Live
Music Circus in 1995 in Koethen, Germany. He blended
trance-progressive songs with techno sounds and had
fans asking for more. In 1998, Sven
officially moved to Rosenheim for professional reasons.
A natural behind the turntables, he aims to push electronic
music further with his incredible DJing skills.
"People want to get entertained
and every epoch produces a certain way of life. Since
the early beginnings of mankind, dancing always has
been an expression of pleasure and happiness and that
is what I want, to give them a larger access towards
music and dancing through my DJing." This is
his motto and there is no stopping this talented DJ.
His kind of music is breaking linguistic and physical
barriers around the world.
