James
Zabiela was born on August 7th, 1979
in Southampton in UK. His signature style of breakbeat
and house music fusion is a hit with dance floors
and his turntable skills are the folklore of the dance
music scene.
James won the Muzik
Magazine’s Bedroom Bedlam competition in 2000
and Best Bedroom Bedlam DJ in 2001. James biggest
forte lies in knowing what a track should sound like.
He is a master with Pioneer CDJ1000 and Pioneer DJM600
along with a pair of his trusted Technics 1210s. His
hand speed is amazing and has dance floors abuzz with
activity for hours together. He has been in the forefront
of the dance music scene pushing the limits forward.
His nasty, dirty sounds with downright
grooves are part of his signature sound now. Throw
in some scratches, loops, fluttering chord changes
and you have got James Zabiela at his best. His career
rise has not been anything short of spectacular so
far. He has been snapped up by Sasha’s Excession
agency, no mean achievement for someone who is just
24 and relatively new to the international scene.
He has already traveled to every nook and corner of
the world. His CD for Groovetech has been well received
so has been his string of remixes along the way. He
has already worked with renowned record labels like
Virgin Souls and End Recordings.
His amazing levels of energy and
enthusiasm for dance music were evident when he played
a five hour set in front of 3,000 screaming fans at
the Art House in Sydney. Boy; is he soaring or what?
