Blank & Jones
A German, Cologne based trance act,
Blank & Jones
consists of members Piet Blank (Jan Pieter Blank)
and DJ Jaspa Jones (Rene Runge) with help from producer
Andy Kaufhold. Electronic music’s history is
hugely indebted to them, what with seven artist albums
and an incredible 15 hit singles, catapulting them
to international stardom.
1997 saw them come out with their
debut single ‘Sunrise’ and from then on,
there was no looking back for this multi-talented
class act. An amazing 13 of their singles have made
it into the German Top 50 and three to the Top 20.
Their triple whammy by occupying the Top Ten album
singles and compilation charts simultaneously with
‘Substance’, ‘Desire’ and
‘The Mix’, is probably unprecedented.
Their versatility can be seen in
contributions to the Café del Mar series and
their very own chill-out albums ‘Relax and Relax’.
Their album ‘Monument’ and ‘A Forest’,
created a solid fan base for them in the USA. Who
can forget their phenomenally successful ‘The
Singles’, consisting of their best tracks, plus
two brand new tracks, recorded exclusively for this
album? Most of the tracks of the album were penned
by Blank & Jones themselves. Their all new WMC
Retouch Version of ‘Nightfly’ direct from
the Miami Winter Music Conference (WMC) showcases
their musical genius and is an absolute must for their
die-hard fans with fantastic vocals by Elles De Graaf.
‘The Singles’ also consists
of an additional DVD with clips of Blank &
Jones. Worth watching with some famous names
being featured including, Til Schweiger in Beyond
Time and Estella Warren. Fans have felt the heat of
their fabulous music in events like Mayday, Love Parade
and Nature One, apart from clubs all over the world.
These global players have their roots firmly in DJ
culture. Their infectious energy sets hearts pounding
whether it is dance, house or electro. Check out ‘The
