Adam Beyer’s focused production style has brought him to the limelight as one of techno’s leading figures. This young Swede took to the world of rhythm quite early on his life. From playing drums as a teenager he turned to the decks. 1990 saw him buy his first set of turntables and then as they say, there was no looking back. From hip hop, hip house, techno and acid, he was a rage at local parties and clubs. The year 1993 saw Beyer get his first record deal with New York based Direct Drive. Subsequently in 1995 Beyer after completing school went on to work at the Planet Rhythm record store, at the same time releasing some tracks under different names, while continuing to DJ all over Scandinavia.

‘Drumcodes 1’ first defined his style, a heady mix of hard percussive and loop oriented, which caught the imagination of the young crowd. His critically acclaimed album ‘Decoded’ bought him further fame. After six releases, his ‘Code Red’ with slightly soft techno brought him immediate success. Code Red finished with its final release ‘Stand Down,’ which contained remixes from various international artistes.

His uncompromising production skills soon meant that global bookings soon followed. Swedish techno’s popularity can be attributed to Adam Beyer’s phenomenal popularity. Beyer soon launched ‘Protechtion’ (Drumcode 1999). A great live act in London soon followed in association with Cari Lekebusch. The sellout act catapulted him to dizzying heights of popularity where he is still perched, belting out hits after hits.
