The music bug caught Fergie quite young, as early as 14 in fact, when he started out with a club called ‘Airport 2000’ in Northern Ireland. Legend has it that Fergie played standing on a milk rate and was actually thrown out by the police for being too young! It is an altogether different story that he went on to rock the Ireland club scene when he was only 16!

Tony de Vit heard him play at ‘The House’ club in Larne Northern Ireland and invited him to UK where he became a regular with the local club scene. Fergie also worked with Club FM Dublin and Cool FM Belfast and Kiss FM London, mixing live on occasions. Fergie’s soaring popularity saw him tour South Africa in 1997 and playing in Ibiza at Privelege, Space, and Bora Bora in 1998. He was a big hit down under in Melbourne and Sydney around the same time. March 1999 saw him rock dance floors in the US. He was also voted 2nd in the “Best International DJ Awards” in Melbourne ’99. And mind you he was still in his teens then!

The new millennium saw him release numerous tracks for well known labels topping charts literally everywhere. He ended up landing residency in the prestigious ‘Godskitchen’, superclub. He also created a huge body of remix work for Virgin, Incentive, and other major record labels. Fergie reached a staggering # 8 in the DJ Magazine’s Top 100 list in 2000. DJ mag’s comments ‘'This man is the Future' and 'Fergie is the most important thing in club land since God created legs', more than aptly sum up Fergie’s influence on dance music.
