Donald
Glaude, one of the biggest draws in the
dance music scene, began experimenting with tape decks,
a pair of mismatched turntables, and a radio shack
mixer in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington, as a
kid.
This famous techno artist cum DJ
began by being behind the decks in various clubs around
Seattle and Tacoma. His early gigs got him to work
with another aspiring DJ, DJ Dan during this time
and it was Dan who convinced San Francisco’s
Funky Tekno Tribe to let him play at one of their
parties. Very soon, Donald Glaude was to become a
permanent resident at F.T.T.
A natural with crowds he along with
DJ Dan and Carl Cox has been known to rock annual
events like ‘Cyberfest’, ‘Audiotistic’,
and ‘Together as One’. His appearances
at the annual ‘Moonshine Overamerica’
tours have been lapped up by frenzied enthusiasts
asking for more. His gigs keep him going around places
like Vancouver, Toronto, Santa Barbara, Denver, and
San Francisco, to name only a few.
His first mix for Moonshine Music
‘Off The Hook’ perhaps epitomizes his
style and energy, that has made him a force across
dance floors. In fact Donald is known to often join
fans on the dance floors. This mix CD that he produced
has some great mixes of his own choice of tracks.
Donald is much more
than just a DJ; he is an all round entertainer par
excellence and one of the best things to have happened
to the dance music scene in recent times.
