M.I.K.E - M.I.K.E. Rules! - One of the Best Trance Music DJ's.

M.I.K.E is actually Mike Dierickx. He was in fact known as Dirk Dierickx till 2000 when he decided to change his name from Dirk to Mike. His hard-edged tech-progressive trance sounds from his native Belgium are resonating across the dance floors of the world.

A regular on top of the charts across countries, he began DJing as an 11 year old kid. It was in 1992 that his first record ‘Vision Act’ was released on the Atom Label. His popularity began to shoot through the roof with regular releases and he signed up with Lightning in 1996, where he teamed up with Yves Deruyter. There was no stopping Mike now with hits like ‘The Rebel’, ‘Back To Earth’, and ‘Spiritual Feelings’.

With the release of ‘Universal Nation’ in 1998, Mike took the dance scene by storm, winning a number of dance awards. The track is still considered a classic of the trance genre. Then followed another massive hit with his single ‘Strange World’, which went the Universal Nation way. ‘Legacy’, yet another blockbuster from Mike followed, rocked the dance scene like never before. The track in fact entered the UK dance charts at # 21. Mike’s remixes with noted artists like Sinead O’Connor and Mauro Piccoto were also lapped up by his fans during this point in time.

Mike has done gigs at superclubs like ‘Godskitchen’ in UK, ‘Vel Farre’ in Japan, ‘Limelight’ in the US, and ‘Trance Energy’ in Holland. Mike started Scanner records, his own label in 1999. Leading lights of the dance music scene like Steve Lawler and Timo Maas have worked for the label. This front runner continues to amaze us with his God given dance music skills.
