Bobby Lee

Bobby Lee alias Roberto Sanna was born in Valencia, Venezuela. He took to DJing in his early teens and used primitive equipment early one to put life to parties going on near his house on weekends. It was during 1982 that he took up DJing seriously and soon hit roads and toured all over Venezuela. He also appeared in the acclaimed movie ‘Disco’ during this time and became a household name in his native Venezuela.

His popularity began to cross borders and 1987 saw him again hit the tour and perform in neighboring Aruba and Bonaire along with DJ Q-Siu. The radio bug caught him during 1988 when apart from spinning vinyl he went into radio production business in his hometown Valencia, Margarita Island, Maracay, and Caracas. His stars were on the high and his penchant for coming out with scintillating sounds made him a popular figure on radio. His show on LA MEGA 95.7 FM ‘Mega Mix’ and later on ‘MMM Mega Monster Mix’ during 1996 made him a cult star in his native Venezuela. He has his own radio producing company called ‘Broadcast Monster Productions’.

The year 1998 saw him lead the show ‘Planeta de Vinyl’ in Planeta 105.3FM along with Tibisay Fachin and the famous DJ Oscar Leal best remembered as the resident of Hernandez and New York. 2003 saw him get behind the decks and spin hard once more while remixing old classics, blending them with dark tribal house. This unique blend has become Bobby Lee’s signature sound and is hot on dance floors.

Bobby Lee continues to dabble in radio as the production manager in WOA 88.1 FM in Valencia and is also in charge of the production of the show ‘Va de Retro’ along with his wife, Lisa Romero. He also hosts the show ‘Sessions’. Bobby Lee‘s first EP titled ‘Signals’ with his signature sounds puts him on the league of international DJ-producers.
