A central figure in the German dance music & German trance music scene since 1997, DJ Kai Tracid has come a long way since his humble beginnings. Credited with numerous hits and nominated for the ‘Viva Comet’ in 1998, he has his own hi-tech studio near Frankfurt.

He does gigs all over the world. He is known to play in an astonishing one hundred and fifty shows in a year. Let it be Australia, England, Japan, USA, Argentina, Italy, Turkey, or Brazil, he has moved crowds like never before. He has been voted to be under top 50 of the world’s best DJs for 2005. His hectic schedule keeps him behind the decks on weekends and in his studio on weekdays, when not traveling. His lush acid tracks released under his label ‘Acid Labels’ are dance floor anthems every where. This label is affiliated to his famous independent label ‘Tracid Traxxx’, founded in 1998.

A former electronic engineering student, he used to make music in front of his computer for hours together. He arrived at a formula, a combination of Trance plus Acid which is why the name ‘Tracid’. His trance music with high energy levels with high value on ambitious lyrics has made him a trendsetter in the trance genre.

With around 50 releases of his Tracid Traxxx label on the dance charts and over hundred productions released altogether, he is flying high these days. A much sought after personality he has appeared in radio, television, and even in the Hollywood flick ‘Hey DJ’. Simply put, he rocks.
