‘King of Funky Breaks’ DJ Icey was born Eddie Pappa in Florida. This multi-talented Moonshine records artist is responsible for pioneering efforts when it comes to funky breaks and Florida breaks.

DJ Icey got into music quite early, during his teens in fact and was fascinated by the early 80s industrial, hip-hop, and new wave pop. He started out DJing in the 90s with acid house and funky breaks. Very soon he was to gain residency at ‘The Edge’ in Orlando, Florida. He is also credited with giving a fillip to the careers of ‘The Chemical Brothers’ and famous DJ Baby Anne, during this point in time.

DJ Icey often releases tracks and remixes under different aliases including DJ Icee, Fluppy, Groove, Ascender, Jarko Boomer, Mia, Montana Rangers, Richard Fuck, Sign of the Times , Yo-Yo Rodeo, and Future Lover, to mention only a few.

DJ Icey has his own label ‘Zone Records’ through which he has released smash hits like ‘As If’ and ‘Essential Mix – mixed by DJ Icey’. A touring maniac, DJ Icey plays 100 + gigs every year, throughout the world. When not touring, you can find him in his studio working on new tracks, aimed at making his fans go delirious. It is no wonder that he has been quoted saying “There is nothing better than finishing a tune and seeing the reaction from a crowded dance floor right after finishing it,". He keeps churning out hit after hit. If it was ‘Different Day’ in 2003, then it was ‘For the Love of the Beat’ in 2004. DJ Icey continues to spin in his own inimitable style.
