Bad Boy Bill

Ranked 1st as ‘America’s Favorite House DJ’ in 2006 according to BPM magazine, hard-house DJ Bad Boy Bill was born and raised in Chicago. He has been mixing them, as they say, from an age of 14. This teenage prodigy started out as a die-hard fan of Chicago radio station WBMX’s Hot Mix Five mixing team. Bill landed it big when none other than Farley Jackmaster Funk gave him his first break. Bill went on to become on the hottest turntablists on the Windy City scene.

1988 saw him take top honors in the Midwest division of DMC’s Battle DJ Competition. Bad Boy Bill’s career graph zoomed and he went on to spin records, throughout the world. In fact he even maintained a long-term DJ residency in Germany. This was apart from hosting ‘Street Mix’ a top-rated weekly radio mix show on Chicago’s WBBM. He also founded his own label, International House Records. His ‘Bangin the Box’ series was a runaway hit across dance floors. Bad Boy Bill has a reputation for playing them fast and loose. He has also issued numerous volumes in a four-turntable battle series titled ‘The House Connection’. The Bangin series continued with the release of ‘Bangin in London’.

Bad Boy Bill’s Bangin the Box series is considered on of the best selling series in dance music history with five volumes. 2003 saw him release a CD/DVD mix album titled ‘Behind the Decks’. The release features some foot stomping music apart from behind the scene footage because Bill hopes to give his audience a ‘good picture of what I am like and what I do’.

From tech house to funky house, soulful house to vocal house and disco house, this versatile genius is known to play on an amazing six different turntables, all at once! A superstar DJ in his own right.
