Sven Vath was born on October 26, in Obertshausen. Sven Vath has been rocking dance floors around the world since 1982. Dressing extravagantly in his unique style, he is a literal volcano of energy. From mega events to festivals to super clubs, you can find him spinning vinyl everywhere and crowds thronging his performances everywhere. Such is his huge popularity.

His first gigs at the Dorian Gray Club witnessed him playing soul oldies and high energy. His freaky costumes caught the imagination of fans quickly. He founded his own label Eye Q in 1992.

This Cultural Ambassador of the German Goethe Institute is a much sought after DJ and producer apart from having fabulous remixing prowess. Although producing tracks is his vocation, he is there in the field for much more than that. His aim is to further the cause of electronic music and spreads it geographically. He is forever experimenting with new sounds and combinations and this is visible in his ‘Cocoon’ clubbing concept. His ‘Fusion’ released in 1998 and was a hugely successful album.

Cocoon was there in Ibiza during the summer of 2002. His ‘Sven Vath in the mix - The sound of second season’, released in 2001 along with his immensely successful album ‘Fire’ has showcased his extraordinary skills. Sven with his natural instincts while performing live has been on highly successful world tours.

Sven’s name is inseparable from the German club scene. His albums like ‘Accident in Paradise’ and ‘The Harlekin’, ‘The Robot & The Ballet Dancer’ have been for long considered landmarks in contemporary electronic music scene.
