4 Strings

The 4 Strings duo consists of two fabulous musicians Carlo Resoort and Jan de Vos. Although they knew each other since 1986, it was in 1990 that they plunged into dance music producing their own brand of scintillating music in their studios. Constantly experimenting with new sounds and technology, they charted out their course in the music world. While Carlo decided to stay back in the studio, Jan would mix and start DJing them.

Jan had initially learnt the tricks of the trade under Piet Bervoets, who put him through the paces in mixing. Very soon, he won a first prize in a DJ contest and was offered his own residency. Carlo Resoort started with dance music in 1994 and after a couple of releases came the turning point, ‘Carlos-the silmarillia’, and produced with Piet Bervoets. There was no looking back as two months later came the runaway hit ‘Turn it around’. Carlo signed up with a new record company ‘Spinnin Records’. Shortly after, 4 Strings was born.

It all started with ‘Daytime’ and a follow up track ‘Into the night’ followed by ‘Take me away’, a huge hit globally and 4 Strings had well and truly arrived in style. Carlo also started a project under his own name giving the world hits like ‘Ayers Rock’ and ‘Rise’, among others.

The year 2005 saw them release another chart buster ‘Sunrise’. This was in fact named after the theme of the most famous dance music festival in Poland. Their amazing ability to relate to any kind of crowd saw them pull crowds wherever they traveled. Their unique style and versatility has also seen them climb to the top ten in Holland’s DJ list.

Their much awaited brand new track ‘Hurricane’ is due for release come 2006. They are also scheduled for a world tour this year. Stay tuned folks for some great music.
